My name is Stacey Sanger and I am from Long Island, New York. On the academic side of things, while I have taken courses in Psychology, Criminal Justice and other areas, I am a Textile Merchandising and Design major in my senior year at the University of Rhode Island. Although, heretofore, not a part of my studies, I am also interested in the field of education-particularly with the involvement of elementary school-aged children.**
Two of my primary non-academic interests are Dance and Art. Having worked as a camp counselor extensively over the years, I have incorporated the latter into my instruction with young children with a great amount of success (not to mention enjoyment).
As an individual I can be outgoing and relentless if the cause interests me. By the same token I maintain a great degree of loyalty and dedication once I become involved in something. Those two qualities extend into my daily personal nature as it pertains to interaction with others; I can "make friends" with virtually anyone once I have determined that their intentions towards me are sincere.
Overall, I try to be helpful to others if I feel that my knowledge on a particular subject will be to their benefit; I hope that this, and other aspects I've pointed out about myself, will be of significant value in this course.
